WASHINGTON - Chandra Levy's family remained on tenterhooks Monday, as police and prosecutors made no public announcement about an arrest in the 2001 murder of the former intern.
Although Washington, D.C. police officials told Levy's parents on Friday night that an arrest warrant was imminent, apparently meaning within a few days, no warrant has been made public. There is no indication when a D.C. Superior Court may authorize the warrant, although it could occur Tuesday.
Police have not publicly identified their chief suspect in the murder of Levy, whose parents remain in Modesto.
