Helicopter crash knocks out power in Chowchilla

A helicopter crash near Chowchilla has caused 10,700 PG&E customers to lose power in Madera County, ABC 30 (KSFN) is reporting.

The small agriculture helicopter was being used circulate air to prevent frost at a farm on Road 19 and Avenue 26, according to ABC 30. The pilot hit a wire on a PG&E pole, causing the helicopter to crash. The pilot was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.
