The city of Merced Planning Commission will meet at 6 p.m. Monday to continue the public hearing on the Wal-Mart Distribution Center project.
The commission will hear from anyone who filled out a speaker card at the Aug. 19 meeting but didn’t speak. After the testimony, the commission will discuss the project and vote. If needed, the meeting could be continued to Aug. 26.
The Merced City Council will have the project presented at its regular Sept. 21 meeting that begins at 7 p.m. Public comment on the project will be taken from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, and from 9 a.m. to noon Sat. Sept. 26. If needed, the council will continue hearing from the public in the afternoon on Sept. 26.
The council plans to discuss and vote on the project starting at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28.

All the hearings will be held in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of the Merced Civic Center, 678 W. 18th St.
The council sessions will be broadcast live on Comcast cable TV on Channel 96, except the Sept. 28 meeting. Because of a scheduling conflict, the Sept. 28 Council meeting will be broadcast live on cable Channel 95.
