The city of Merced said its Parks and Community Services Department, along with the Merced Police Department, the Merced Zoological Society and the Merced Boys and Girls Clubs are co-sponsoring several Halloween events.
The activities are scheduled over the weekend and on Halloween.
Volunteers will help at the events by providing games, music and other entertainment.
The events are:

Trunk or Treat: 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 755 W. 15th St., between the Senior Community Center and the Boys & Girls Club parking lot. $1, children, $2 for 13 years and up.
Zoo Boo: 6 to 8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23 and 24, trick or treat in the Haunted Zoo at the Applegate Park Zoo, 1045 W. 25th St. $1, ages 2 and up.
Haunted House: 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 through Saturday, Oct. 31 at McNamara Park, 1040 Canal St. $1 children, $2 ages 13 years and up.
Dime Carnival: Saturday, Oct. 24, 1 to 4 p.m. in the alley between Merced Civic Center and the MultiCultural Arts Center. Tickets are a dime.
