The Merced County Sheriff's Office is batting two-for-two in capturing its Most Wanted suspects.
Last Wednesday, Nathan Jones was taken into custody when he learned he was Merced County’s Most Wanted. He made arrangements with the Merced Sheriff’s STAR Team to turn himself in. He was taken into custody without incident, a sheriff's news release said.
Wednesday, Detective Dustin Witt of the Sheriff’s STAR Team developed information that this weeks Most Wanted, John Vidaure, was in the 1400 block of Davis Street in Livingston. Deputies conducted surveillance of the residence, then made contact. When they knocked on the door, they recognized Vidaure as he looked out the window.
Once they made entry, they found the stolen computer he was wanted for; it was sitting on the living room table, according to the news release. He was turned over to detectives for follow-up investigation.
