The Merced County Association of Governments is seeking members for its Citizens Advisory Committee. There are five openings on the 17-member board.
The Citizens Advisory Committee is a group of private residents who are appointed by the board. Members serve based on their geographic location or work experience. None of the members can be an elected official.
The open positions include two citizen-at-large seats, and one seat each for business representatives from the commerce, finance and construction industries.
Three of the openings are the result of resignations, going back as far as last January. Two of the at-large seats are open because previous members had reached their eight-year term limits.
