The new Visitor’s Center at Hilmar Cheese, the yaks, camels and other animals that can be found on Highway 59 and the new housing project in midtown Merced are discussed this week on Community Conversations, a public service program on KYOS.
The hour-long show focuses on community, education and government news affecting residents throughout Merced County. It airs on KYOS, 1480 AM, at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Other Community Conversations set to air this week include the city’s development of a Climate Action Plan and the tales of a retired dentist who served as a fireman on steam freight trains.
