Merced College said it’s made the move to go a paperless registration system for incoming freshman students.
Beginning April 4, the college said it will no longer accept paper applications from most applicants for the summer and fall 2011 semesters. To apply online, students should be directed to www.cccapply.org.
Graduating high school seniors, or non-high school students who are new or who are returning to school, must apply online. Current K-12 students taking college coursework will continue to use the paper application, submit a K-12 form signed by their high school and must register in person.
Students who wish to apply for admission and have not done so through an orientation will still be required to apply online.
After April 4, the college said it will make computers available during business hours for students to apply online. However, graduating high school seniors should complete the application process during a formal orientation on either their high school or Merced College campus.
