Jose Antonio Ramirez, Livingston’s new city manager, was behind the dais for his first council meeting Tuesday night.
Ramirez is working in Livingston full-time, but said he’s still helping his former city of Firebaugh through the transition period as officials there look for an interim city manager.
During Tuesday’s closed-session meeting, Assistant City Manager and Finance Director Vickie Lewis, who served as Livingston’s interim city manager, agreed to delay her retirement until Oct. 31 so the new city manager can get his feet under him.
Lewis also wants to complete the city’s budget and follow through with other financial states of affairs. — Mike North
