The California Lottery said tonight’s jackpot will be worth $113 million.
The large jackpot marks the first time since June that the MEGA Millions jackpot amount has surpassed the $100 million mark.
And while no one matched six numbers on Tuesday night, three lucky California tickets – sold in San Jose, Pacifica, and Vista – managed to match five of six numbers to split a prize worth $334,824.
The estimated cash option for tonight’s draw is $82.7 million. The largest MEGA Millions jackpot ever won was $390 million in March 2007, with a cash option of $233 million. The retailer that sells the jackpot-winning ticket will receive a bonus of $565,000.
MEGA Millions is a multistate game, played in California and 41 other states. Players pick five numbers from 1 to 56 plus a Mega number from 1 to 46.
