GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Jonah Davis hit an RBI single in the second inning, and Lolo Sanchez had two hits and scored two runs as the Greensboro Grasshoppers beat the Delmarva Shorebirds 4-1 in the second game of a doubleheader on Wednesday.
The single by Davis, part of a three-run inning, gave the Grasshoppers a 2-0 lead before Sanchez scored on a forceout later in the inning.
The Shorebirds cut into the deficit in the fourth inning when Ryne Ogren hit an RBI triple, driving in Cadyn Grenier.
The Grasshoppers tacked on another run in the fourth when Davis hit an RBI triple, driving in Sanchez.
Cam Alldred (1-0) got the win with two innings of scoreless relief while Delmarva starter Ryan Conroy (0-1) took the loss in the South Atlantic League game.
The teams split the doubleheader after Delmarva won the first game 3-2.
