Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Comments on Physical Appearance During OTAs

The Dallas Cowboys had their second round of mandatory organized team activities (OTAs) of the NFL offseason this week before the 2026 season begins. Dallas practiced on Monday and Tuesday, while reporters were allowed to attend during the second day.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott went 11-for-16 throwing on Tuesday, including an interception to cornerback Cobie Durant, according to Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporter Nick Harris.

Prescott is coming off a Pro Bowl season in 2025, in which he started all 17 games, completing 67.3% of his passes for 4,552 yards and 30 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. His 404 completions led all quarterbacks in the NFL.

On Tuesday, All City DLLS reporter Clarence Hill Jr. reported that Prescott looked like he had lost some weight since the end of last season, and he asked the 32-year-old quarterback about it.

"Asked Dak Prescott if he lost some weight, he said he hasn't purposely," Hill said. "He said if he had, it was probably due to stress. Since you opened that door, do you want to talk about that stress? I'm closing it right back, he said."

Prescott is officially listed at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds on the Cowboys' website, which is eight pounds lighter than what ESPN has him listed as. During April of last year, there were reports that Prescott had lost 50 pounds, which turned out to be false, according to Sports Illustrated's Matthew Graham.

Whether he has lost weight from it or not, Prescott is definitely under lots of stress as the franchise quarterback of "America's Team." Dallas has won just seven games each of the past two years, missing the playoffs in both. During Prescott's 10-year career with the Cowboys, they have not made it past the divisional round of the postseason.

Prescott and the rest of Dallas have one more day of mandatory OTAs on Thursday before mandatory minicamp begins next week.
