Final field set for Tour of California

A final list of professional cycling teams participating in the Amgen Tour of California has been released. With nine more teams added to the eight already announced, a total professional field of 17 teams will participate in the state race that begins Feb. 14 in Sacramento.

The 800-mile Amgen Tour starts with a 2.4-mile prologue in Sacramento. On Feb. 15, Davis will be the start of Stage 1, which is a 108-mile ride ending in Santa Rosa.

Seven more stages will follow before the tour concludes in Escondido.

The 17 professional cycling teams in the race are:
