Chowchilla man, 47, killed late Monday in motorcycle crash at El Nido

A 47-year-old man from Chowchilla died at about 11 p.m. Monday after crashing his motorcycle on Roosevelt Road in the El Nido area, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Domingos Brasil was driving westbound when an animal ran out and struck the left side of his front tire, said CHP Officer Luis Lara.

The force of the impact caused Brasil to lose control of his 1982 Honda motorcycle, Lara said.

He was fully ejected and came to rest in the roadway.

Medical personnel pronounced Brasil dead at the scene, Lara said. He wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
