Chick-fil-A is coming to Clovis; construction has begun. See the details here
Construction is under way to build the first Chick-fil-A in Clovis.
Green fencing went up Wednesday and heavy construction equipment was positioned onto the land where the newest Chick-fil-A will be built — along the south side of Shaw Avenue between Willow and Peach avenues, and in the empty lot in front of a Marriott TownePlace Suites.
It was not immediately known when construction would be completed or when the Clovis Chick-fil-A will open. The chain’s application from January said the building is expected to be a 4,852-square-foot restaurant with a double-lane drive-thru.
The Clovis Chick-fil-A would be the third location in Fresno County, joining existing locations at Blackstone and Nees avenues in the River Park shopping area, and another location in front of Fashion Fair mall.
The restaurant is known for its tasty chicken sandwiches, nicknamed by some as “The Lord’s Chicken,” but also for its long lines, which caused complaints in previous years at the River Park location because of the congested parking lot due to busy drive-thru traffic.
The new Chick-fil-A will add another option for those craving fried chicken in Clovis along Shaw Avenue.
Bb.q Chicken, Chicken Shack, Raising Cane’s and KFC also within two miles of the new Chick-fil-A location.
