The National Weather Service warns upcoming storms in the southern Sierra Nevada in California including Yosemite National Park and Merced and Mariposa counties could bring flooding to wildfire burn scar areas.
A particularly cold weather is headed to Merced County along rain and potential thunderstorms forecast through the week, according to meteorologist Brian Ochs of the National Weather Service in Hanford.
