Fresno drivers are getting to enjoy some of its lowest gas prices in nearly four years.

As of Friday afternoon, drivers could find regular unleaded gas as cheap as $3.29 per gallon in Fresno.

Data from Gasbuddy.com, meanwhile, shows the city of Fresno’s average gallon of gas at the moment was $3.95 — the lowest price since December 2022. The average current price is also about $1 less than what fuel was going for near the start of last summer.

And low prices come at a convenient time for those hitting the road for the potential three-day weekend with Martin Luther King Jr. Day set for Monday.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported that U.S. retail gasoline prices from 2025 decreased for a third consecutive year. The gas price drop stemmed from crude oil prices falling, too.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration said the drop of crude oil prices was driven by oversupply concerns and a weaker global economic outlook in the first half of the year that dampened demand.

U.S. gas consumption also decreased overall in 2025 by less than 1% from 2024.

Gasbuddy.com reports that the average price of gas in the United States is $2.88.
