Of course, WWE’s Road to WrestleMania was going to pass through Fresno in 2018.

The city has been a good draw since the days of Bob Orton rampaging through downtown with Roddy Piper, so the franchise stops here often. WWE Live was at Save Mart Center in September.

The Road to Wrestlemania tour is at the arena Sunday, Feb. 11 Tickets are $18-$103 and on sale 10 a.m. Friday, online, at the Save Mart Center box office or by phone at 800-745-3000.

The night will include in-ring performances from The Shield (that’s Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins for those not hip to WWE’s lineup), the tag team of Cesaro and Sheamus, The Miz, Samoa Joe, Alexa Bliss, Braun Strowman, Finn Baylow and Bray Wyatt.

Wyatt should be of special note. The wrestler played two seasons of football at College of the Sequoias in Visalia before turning to pro wrestling and becoming a WWE champion this year.

He promptly lost his title to Orton’s son, Randy Orton, at WrestleMania 33.
