Modesto’s Gallo Center for the Arts took the No. 2 worldwide spot for sales performance over 30 days in one of the rankings done by Pollstar.

A chart from Pollstar, included in a Facebook post Friday by the Gallo Center, indicates 6,848 tickets were sold for eight shows in the Mary Stuart Rogers Theater.

The ranking was for shows in held in January, according to an email from Gallo Center Chief Executive Officer Chad Hilligus.

“We’re #2 in the world! Live concert industry tracker Pollstar has once again ranked the Gallo Center for the Arts for its sales performance over the last 30 days!” the post says.

The downtown Modesto venue’s gross ticket sales are noted at $655,850 on the chart. That was more than the $470,143 gross sales amount listed for the No. 1 venue — the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. — with 13,659 tickets sold for its 15 shows.

The productions that garnered the Gallo Center its No. 2 spot, according to Hilligus, were Shen Yun (which performed two shows), “The Choir of Man,” Mariachi Vargas, “Dog Man: The Musical” and “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical” (with its three shows).

He said the Gallo Center also most recently ranked on the chart at No. 7 for November 2025 and No. 3 for December 2025.

This Pollstar chart is for venues with 750 to 1,500 seats, according to Hilligus. The Mary Stuart Rogers Theater capacity is 1,248.

The only venue on the latest list outside the United States is No. 4, the Corner Hotel in Richmond, Australia. There, 6,081 tickets sold for 10 shows with gross sales of $215,085.

Other venues were in cities including Chicago, Charleston and a second in Washington, D.C.

The Mary Stuart Rogers Theater is one of two in the Gallo Center. The Foster Family Theater has a seating capacity of 440.
