Merced children’s amusement park set to open after renovations
Kiwanis Kiddieland, a popular attraction for families in Merced, is ready to reopen after getting some renovations.
The children’s amusement park, run by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Merced, will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to reveal the updates and open the season on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
The park, inside Applegate Park, will open for a day of free rides from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a Kiddieland Facebook post. This will be Kiddieland’s 69th year of operation.
Kiddieland will be open on Sunday at its usual price and hours. The amusement park features rides and a snack shack, has a designated covered party area that includes picnic tables and a barbecue.
Attractions include a train ride (two tickets) and rides on a carousel, GoGator Roller Coaster, Rocket Rides and Safari Cars, which are one ticket each. Tickets are $1 each. An all-day pass for unlimited rides is $15.
A GoGatorVIP pass is $75 and lasts for the entire season, which ends Oct. 25.
Kiddieland also hosts birthday parties. For information, call 209-930-0092 or email kiddielandparties@gmail.com.
