Megan Thee Stallion Exposes ‘Cheating' Klay Thompson in Scathing Message

Klay Thompson was once known as one-half of the Splash Brothers during a Golden State Warriors dynasty that won four NBA championships.

Megan Thee Stallion, Thompson’s now ex-girlfriend, just made a splash of her own at his expense.

Hot Girl Meg, 31, publicly skewered Thompson, 36, on her Instagram Story on Saturday afternoon.

“Cheating,” the Grammy-winning rapper wrote. “Had me around your whole family playing house… Got ‘cold feet.’ Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season [and] now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? [Expletive] I need a REAL break after this one. Bye y’all.”

In addition to her Instagram Story, Megan Thee Stallion confirmed her split from Thompson in a statement through her representative to TMZ.

“I've made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” the statement reads. “Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I'm taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

Megan Thee Stallion and Thompson soft-launched their relationship on Instagram before hard-launching at the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala last July. Since then, they’ve been very publicly loved up, with Thompson even naming his boat the “SS Stallion.”

Last October, Megan Thee Stallion released “LOVER GIRL,” yet another Billboard Hot 100 charter for one of music‘s biggest stars, and it was very explicitly about Thompson.

In a February YouTube video, Megan Thee Stallion celebrated US Olympians Hilary Knight and Brittany Bowe before crossing her fingers and saying, “Manifesting my engagement, too.”

Instead, just two months later, Megan Thee Stallion and Thompson are no more.

From a basketball standpoint, Thompson’s already murky offseason just got murkier. The five-time All-Star guard departed Golden State for the Dallas Mavericks in 2024, and he has not come close to his Warriors glory days in the two seasons since.

Once the Mavericks finished this season at a miserable 26-56, Thompson was asked whether he anticipated returning to Dallas next season.

“Whew, hard-hitter,” Thompson said. “I’m not sure. I mean, I’m under contract, so I do, but I’ve definitely learned in my time in Dallas that things can change on a dime.”

Given Saturday’s revelations, that might have been an understatement.
