Are you having trouble with your Verizon service in Merced County today?

Reports of an outage in Verizon wireless services in Merced County included problems with cell phones, ATMs and other network devices on Wednesday.

Residents in the Dos Palos area told the Sun-Star they have had no coverage since about 9 a.m.

A map from downloaddetector.com showed outages in parts of the central San Joaquin Valley, including Merced County, as well as a small area in Fresno and parts of Sacramento and the Bay Area.

Verizon has cleared up the problems, according to spokeswoman Heidi Flato.

“Earlier today, a connectivity issue is causing a service interruption in parts of Fresno, Madera and Merced counties,” she said in an email. “Our engineers worked quickly with our vendor partners and service has been fully restored.”
