Arts Wrap for Sept. 9, 2016

‘Zootopia’

Merced Parks and Recreation presents a free showing of “Zootopia” at dusk Friday, Sept. 9, at Rudolph Merino Park, at the intersection of Pacific Drive and El Redondo Drive. Several more movies are planned through October. For more information, call the parks office at 209-385-7426.

Blues Avenue

Club Mercedes presents Blues Avenue, an old-school, funk, Latin and R&B musical act, from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Hall, 569 West Ninth St., Merced. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. No-host snack bar available. Entry is $10 per person (must be 21 years and older). For tickets or for more information, call the club after 4 p.m. at 209-383-9906. Proceeds will benefit the club’s youth scholarships and other programs.

‘Rock of Ages’

Comedy competition

Los Banos concerts

The Los Banos Arts Council’s concert series begins Sept. 17 with the Sun Kings at the Ted Falasco Arts Center, 1105 Fifth St., Los Banos. The series features five concerts from September to March. Aaron Lewis
