Last Hope volunteer orientation

This month’s Volunteer Orientation and Training session for Last Hope Cat Kingdom is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at 6660 Bailey Road in Atwater. Volunteers must attend a session once a year for most types of volunteer activities. We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. Card Party and Games Day

Merced/Mariposa Division of California Retired Teachers Association will hold its 18th annual Card Party and Games Day on Feb. 23 at Merced Senior Center, 755 W. 15th St. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds provide five to seven scholarships to Merced College alumni pursuing teaching credentials. We will serve a variety of pastries, fruit and coffee or tea. There will be door prizes, table prizes and a donation raffle. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door. St. Paul Lutheran School preview night

St. Paul Luther School and preschool, 2916 McKee Road, will host a preview night 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 26. Families interested in finding out more about preschool through sixth grades are invited. Marching 100 rummage sale

Merced High School’s Marching 100 band will hold a rummage sale fundraiser 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the school’s parking lot at 205 W. Olive Ave. Donations for the rummage sale should be brought to the Merced High Band Room on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. People wishing to donate items can also contact Harold Stauber at (209) 658-7120 to arrange for pickup.
