Merced Shakespearefest
Merced Shakespearefest is scheduled to present the magical romance “The Winter’s Tale” Friday through Sunday, Feb. 27-28 and March 1 at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, 645 W. Main St. in Merced. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12; $8 for students. Pancake breakfast
The Merced Marching 100 Band Boosters and Save Mart Supermarkets are sponoring the band’s annual pancake breakfast. It will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Merced High School cafeteria, 205 W. Olive Ave. The meal includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, and a choice of coffee, juice or milk. Takeout service is available. Town hall meetings
Supervisor John Pedrozo will hold town hall meetings at 6:30 p.m Thursday at the Livingston City Council chamber, 1416 C St. in Livingston, and at 6:30 p.m Feb. 25 in the multipurpose room of Tenaya Middle School, 760 W. Eighth St., Merced. Pedrozo said he has coordinated the participation of several Merced County department heads who will be on hand to answer questions or respond to concerns raised by the public. McDaniel to hold mobile office hours
District 3 Supervisor Daron McDaniel has scheduled monthly mobile office hours at Atwater City Hall. Members of the public are encouraged to use the time to voice opinions and talk with McDaniel regarding subjects of interest. District 3 Atwater mobile office hours are 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. every fourth Thursday of the month at Atwater City Hall, 750 Bellevue Road. Franklin-Beachwood MAC meeting
The Franklin-Beachwood Municipal Advisory Council will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at Franklin Elementary School, 2936 Franklin Road, Room 21. Marjie Kirn will give a presentation on the Atwater/Merced Expressway. For more information, call Dennis Haines at (209) 381-5981.
Successful Thinkers Network meeting

SCORE meeting
Existing and potential new business people are invited to attend the Business Connector from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce office, 640 N St. SCORE and the chamber are cooperating to provide assistance in improving the business climate in the community. SCORE is a nonprofit organization that provides free consulting to existing and startup small businesses.
