Franklin-Beachwood MAC meeting

College for Kids needs teachers
Merced College’s College for Kids program is seeking proposals from instructors interested in teaching a class during the fall 2015 term. To enter a proposal, complete the online form found at www.mercedcommunityservices.com and return it to Community Services by March 6. Instructors are needed in arts, hobbies, crafts, cooking, dance, health, fitness, recreation, children’s classes, music, photography and professional development. Mental Health Board meeting
The next Merced County Mental Health Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at 1137 B St., Merced. Everyone is invited to attend.
Annual Gourmet Breakfast
Yosemite Gateway Chapter No. 126 Order of the Eastern Star will host its annual Gourmet Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on March 8. Breakfast will include ham, scrambled eggs, hash browns, apricot crepes, cinnamon rolls, muffins, juice, coffee, tea and milk. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10. The event will be at the Merced Masonic Center, 1810 M St. Tickets are available at the door or by calling Debby Hoban at (209) 358-1083. All proceeds go to support the chapter.
Parking lot sale
Merced’s Relay for Life is having their annual parking lot sale fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 7 at the Merced High parking lot., 205 W. Olive Ave. Come and help stamp out cancer in Merced. The Merced Relay for Life event is scheduled for April 25, at Merced College, 3600 M St.
Happy Trails Social Group
The Happy Trails Social Group will be traveling to Oakdale on March 14 to join the Sierra Lunch Train. The group will meet at Atwater Baptist Church, 2124 First St. in Atwater at 9:45 a.m. Cost is $70. Call Donna Plett at (209) 358-3693 for information and reservations.
Mulan Jr. at Merced Theatre
Weaver Performing Arts is scheduled to perform the musical, “Disney’s Mulan Jr.” at the Merced Theatre on March 6 at 7 p.m. and March 7 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 each and are available at the Merced Theatre, 301 West Main St., (209) 381-0500.
