Merced Youth Council
The City of Merced Youth Council will be hosting a summer clean up held on July 29 at McNamara Park located at 1040 Canal St. Registration beings at 8:30 a.m. and clean up goes from 9 a.m. to noon. For more information on how to volunteer, visit the website at cityofmerced.org.
Fall Registration Event at Merced College
Students wishing to enroll for fall semester classes at Merced College will have a chance opportunity to complete the registration process from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 29 at both Merced and Los Banos campuses. Students will be able to complete any of the steps to registration and speak with financial aid advisors. Lunch provided. For more information about Extreme Registration, call 209-384-6030.
Rummage Sale
The Livingston United Methodist Church will host a Rummage Sale to benefit their church and the community at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 4 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and again on Aug. 5 at Livingston UMC, 11695 Olive Ave., Livingston (Pioneer Hall). Merced mayor at Women’s Spotlight Network
Mayor Mike Murphy will speak about updates happening in Merced at noon on Aug. 15 at the Women’s Spotlight Network meeting at Five Ten Bistro’s lounge at 510 W. Main St, Merced. Everyone is welcome to attend for free as a guest of Women’s Spotlight Network. No-host lunch is available during the meeting which will be held. For more information, call 209-722-6778.
West-Mark Open House

Nominations for Man/Woman of the Year
The Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce invites the public to submit nominations for Man and Woman of the Year. The award will be presented at their 2017 Installation and Awards Dinner on Oct. 6 at Gateway Gardens, 800 W. 18th St., Merced.
