Club Mercedes dinner
Club Mercedes, 569 W. 9th St, Merced will have a Good Friday Dinner on Friday. The price is $10 per person. The meal will include chile rellenos, beans, rice, tortillas and salsa. ‘Time to Fly’ Kite Fest
The Knights of Columbus will present the 4th Annual “Time to Fly” Kite Festival. The event is free, and the first 500 kids get a free kite. The event will kick off “The Week of The Young Child” and will start with the landing of the Merced County Sheriff’s Department Huey helicopter. Parking lot vendor sale
Habitat for Humanity of Merced County will host a parking lot vendor sale April 11 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2916 N. McKee Road, Merced. Rent two parking spaces for $10 and do your own yard sale. Applications available online by visiting Habitat for Humanity’s website or calling (209) 726-0850.
Livingston workshop
The city of Livingston will host a community workshop to update residents on the operation of its public water system, and federal and state drinking water requirements. It will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Council chambers, 1416 C St., Livingston. For more information, call (209) 394-8041.
Treasure Trove sale
American Legion Auxiliary will host the Treasure Trove rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 11 at the Veterans Memorial Building, 939 W. Main St. All proceeds are used to assist local veterans.
Mother’s Day Craft Fair
The American Legion Riders and Sons of the American Legion of Merced will host the second annual Crafts and Antiques Fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 9. Easter egg hunt
The 25th Annual Kiwanis Club of Greater Merced’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Applegate Park will be Saturday. All kids through the age of 10 are invited. Toddlers, 4 or younger, will hunt eggs at 10 a.m. on the park’s tennis court. Kids 5 to 7 will hunt eggs in Area 1 next to the tennis court at 10:15 a.m., and those 8 to 10 will hunt eggs in Area 2, next to the skate park, also at 10:15 a.m. Candy-filled plastic eggs will be used for the event, with some of them containing receipts for special prizes. The Merced, Golden Valley and Livingston Key Club members assisted in preparations for the event by helping fill the roughly 3,000 plastic Easter eggs with candy and prizes.
