Merced College Art Gallery Exhibition
Merced College Art Gallery will present an exhibition of painting by California artist Jeff Carter. This exhibition will opens today and continues to Oct. 12. The public is invited to a reception with the artist, this event will be held Sept. 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Art Gallery is located in the Theater Building at Merced College. Gallery Hours are Monday-Thursday 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 2 pm. Susanne French, Art Gallery Coordinator at 209-384-6064. The event is free to the public.
Sweet Potato Festival
Livingston will host its annual Sweet Potato Festival Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Max Foster Sports Complex, 2600 Walnut Ave., Livingston. Musical Performance
Guitarists Francesco Buzzurro and Richard Smith return to Merced to perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday as part of their Heart of the Immigrant Tour. The show will be held at the Merced Multicultural Art Center, 645 W. Main St. For more information, call 209-386-6644 or email director@artsmerced.org.
Pancake Breakfast Buffet
The Atwater-Winton Lions Club will be holding its annual pancake breakfast buffet from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Atwater Women’s Club House at Third and Grove streets. The cost is $8 per person. Raising Zoey Film Screening
Building Healthy Communities Merced in collaboration with the Merced County LGBTQ+ Alliance will present a special screening of “Raising Zoey” Saturday at Golden Valley High School, 2121 E Childs Ave.. Jump for Jaelyn Benefit
Farmdale Elementary School will host a Jump-a-thon fundraiser, JUMP FOR JAELYN!, on at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 29 at Farmdale Elementary School, 100 Winder Ave., Merced. The event benefits 9-year-old Jaelyn Vega, a Farmdale student battling a brain tumor. If you would like to participate in the event or contribute, call 209-725-7170.
