Merced College Retired Women's Luncheon

The Merced College Retired Women's Monthly Luncheon will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at LaHacienda, 3355 G St., Merced. The no-host luncheon is an opportunity to visit with retired ladies while enjoying a lunch together.

Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group

The next meeting of the Merced Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday the Hoffmeister Center, 1920 Canal St., Merced. Free Mental Illness Class

NAMI Merced will host free weekly classes this spring for those suffering with mental health issues beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at 480 E. 13th St., Merced. Classes will end April 26. The course provides information on many mental illnesses as well as coping skills, recovery and rehabilitation. Classes are taught by people who have experienced mental illness and are certified by NAMI California to offer courses to the community. You do not have to have been diagnosed to attend. Valentine’s Day Dinner in Atwater

The Atwater VFW hosts its annual Valentine’s Day dinner at 6 p.m. Feb. 14 at the VFW Hall, 1388 Broadway, Atwater. The no-host bar opens at 5 p.m. The menu includes roast turkey, pork roast, bread and salad. Tickets are $25 per couple and can be purchased at the door or by calling 209-761-0967.

Art and Spirits Fun Night

Arbor Gallery will host “Art and Spirits Fun Night” featuring new member Tonia Hemme to benefit the Merced Arts Center at 6 p.m.Feb. 17 at the MAC, 645 W. Main St., Merced. For more information, call 209-388-1090.

Old Timers Association

The Merced County Old Timers Association is accepting applications to honor members of our communities who are 85 years of age or older and have lived in Merced County for at least 50 years. A luncheon will be served at noon on April 15 at the Italo-American Lodge in Merced. All applications need to be returned by March 25.
