MS Challengers’ of Merced

MS Challengers’ is a self-help group sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The next monthly meeting will take place on Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 500 Buena Vista Drive, in Merced. The meeting is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A special presentation, How to Make an Impact on MS Research, will be given. No fees or registration are required to attend. Lions Club Breakfast and Yard Sale

The Livingston Lions Club is having its annual yard sale and breakfast on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The yard sale is in the Livingston City Hall parking lot and the breakfast is next door at the Livingston Fire Department.

Merced SPCA benefit

The Merced SPCA is holding a garage sale at 681 Bobwhite Court in Merced on Friday and Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be lots of baby items, women’s clothing, furniture, appliances and much more. Proceeds go to Hines Hospice and the Merced SPCA. For more information, call (209) 233-1891.

Gaucho Diamond Club Boosters

The Gaucho Diamond Club Boosters will be hosting a fundraiser Saturday to support El Capitan High School’s baseball program. The festivities will be held on the Pilkington baseball field at the family’s residence, 1920 Canyon Drive, Merced. Cocktails from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and dinner served at 7 p.m. The dinner cost is $25 per plate and is catered by Florencio’s Fine Mexican Restaurant. There will be silent, live and dessert auctions. Camp Pacifica Benefit

The Lions Club Camp Pacifica Benefit Sporting Clays Tournament will take place Saturday at Rooster Ranch, 26166 Kelly Road, Hilmar. Camp Pacifica serves hearing-impaired children ages 7-15 and provides summertime camping activities. Tournament proceeds will benefit camper scholarships or fund camp repairs and maintenance. May Day-Cinco De Mayo celebration

Yosemite Church Celebrate Recovery and Latino Ministry will host its annual May Day-Cinco de Mayo Celebration, featuring a day of fun, food, live bands and raffle prizes. The event will take place Sunday from 10:30 a.m to 3 p.m. at 2230 E. Yosemite Ave. in Merced. For more information, call Pa Moua at (209) 383-5038, ext. 27.
