Summer Zoo Camp in Merced

Summer Zoo Camp at the Applegate Park Zoo in Merced runs from 9 a.m. to noon July 9 through July 13 for ages 6 to 10. Registration forms can be obtained at the Zoo Gift Shop, open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last day to register is Friday and Zoo Camp is limited to 15 children. Staged Reading of Henry IV, Part 1

Grazie America! From Italy to Merced

Merced County Historical Society’s newest book, Grazie America! From Italy to Merced County, will be released at 1 p.m. July 14 at the Courthouse Museum. This two-volume set, documenting the rich history of Merced County’s Italian American community, is based on the 2017 exhibition of the same title and features more than 130 personal stories.
