Staged Reading of Henry IV, Part 1

Merced Shakes presents a staged reading of “Henry IV, Part 1”, the English history play of treason and rebellion, generational conflicts, and the antics of fat Falstaff, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the MAC, 645 W. Main St., Merced. Tickets are $ 5 at the door. For more information call 209-723-3265.

Kids’ Day at the MAC

The Merced County Arts Council will host Kids’ Day at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center with Independence Day around the World from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Merced Elks Pancake Breakfast

Merced Elks Park is serving up a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, with coffee and orange juice. Adults $7 and kids $4. 4-H Appreciation Dinner

Christian Spiritual Day Retreat

Women’s Christian Spiritual Day Retreat is set for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 4 at the United Methodist Church, 899 Yosemite Parkway. All women are invited to experience a day of enlightenment and discoveries. Bring your favorite cup, mug or something similar that can be used for an exercise. Lunch is pot-luck.
