Household Hazardous Waste collection

The Merced County Regional Waste Management Authority hosts a Household Hazardous Waste collection event from 8 a.m. to noon July 21 at the Highway 59 Landfill HHW Facility, 7040 N. Highway 59, Merced. Before bringing items out to the facility, call 916-296-7478 to identify the amount and type of HHW that will be dropped off. There is no cost for residents within Merced County, but quantity limitations apply. Fees apply for CESQGs. Merced AARP Speaker

Merced City Manager Steve Carrigan will address the Merced AARP at 10 a.m. July 25 at the Merced Senior Center, 755 W. 15th St., Merced.
