Merced College Retired Women

The Merced College Retired Women will hold its monthly luncheon at La Hacienda 2 on June 11 at 11:30 a.m. No reservations are required for the no-host luncheon. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month at La Hacienda 2, 3355 G St. Join us for a casual, relaxed luncheon with retired women from the college. Pick and gather in Livingston

The two-day Pick and Gather at Riverdance Farms and Merced River Fair begins at 10 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday. It offers an array of attractions: live music, kayaking, fly fishing, cultural dancing, camping and fruit picking, to name a few. Riverdance Farms is at 12230 Livingston Cressey Road in Livingston. Iraqi survivor to speak

The Merced County Republican Women will host a survivor of the Saddam Hussein regime as a speaker at the meeting at the Branding Iron on June 15. The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m., with lunch being served at noon. Lydia Kano, who was born in Baghdad, says she is one of four children who survived Saddam’s regime. With the help of her parents, she was able to get to the United States. She is now a U.S. citizen and has a college degree. Merced SPCA to meet

Merced High Class of 1980

Merced High School 1980 Class Reunion – 35th Anniversary will be held outdoors under the Stars at the Vista Ranch Cellars, Merced, on Sept. 19, from 6 to 11 p.m. A casual event, the price is $12 per person and includes use of the venue, music and all amenities of Vista Ranch Cellars. City of Livingston softball

The Livingston Recreation Department is accepting rosters for the Adult Coed Spring Softball League. Roster deadline is Friday at 5 p.m. Roster packets are available at City Hall, 1416 C St. Six-team limit per division. The cost is $452.50 per team and an $18 Amateur Softball Association registration fee. The individual fee is $34 based on a 14-member team.
