Pick and gather in Livingston

The two-day Pick and Gather at Riverdance Farms and Merced River Fair begins at 10 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday. It offers an array of attractions: live music, kayaking, fly fishing, cultural dancing, camping and fruit picking, to name a few. Riverdance Farms is at 12230 Livingston Cressey Road in Livingston. SPCA meeting

Gay charity pageant

The 3M Quad-County Pageant, a show featuring men, women and drag queens from Merced, Stanislaus, Tuolomne and Calaveras counties, begins with a dinner at 5:30 p.m. June 6 at Merced Women’s Club House, 707 W. 22nd St. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Peripheral neuropathy group meeting

The Merced Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group’s next meeting begins at 1 p.m. June 11 at the Hoffmeister Center,1920 Canal St., Merced. Roundtable discussion and informative handouts available. For more information, call Larry Frice at (209) 358-2045.

Iraqi survivor lecture

The Merced County Republican Women will host a survivor of the Saddam Hussein regime as a speaker at the meeting at the Branding Iron on June 15. The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m., with lunch served at noon. Lydia Kano, who was born in Baghdad, says she is one of four children who survived Saddam’s regime. With the help of her parents, she was able to get to the United States. She is now a U.S. citizen and has a college degree. Los Banos Father’s Day celebration

The Los Banos Chamber of Commerce will host its second annual Father’s Day in the Park on June 20 at Pacheco Park. The local Lions Club will serve breakfast at 8 a.m., and vendor booths will open to the public at 9. Live musical entertainment begins at 11 a.m. with Shea Gomes, Fir Drive, and Tom Faria and Debbie Lisotto and friends recognizing the “Women of Rock.” Applications are being accepted for vendors and car show participants.
