Gay charity pageant
The 3M Quad-County Pageant, a show featuring men, women and drag queens from Merced, Stanislaus, Tuolumne and Calaveras counties, begins with a dinner at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Merced Women’s Club House, 707 W. 22nd St. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Genealogy lecture
Barbara Washburn is the speaker this month at the Merced County Genealogical Society meeting. Washburn is a family history specialist with more than 20 years of experience. Her topic is “Finding Lost Cousins and Living Relatives.” The meeting is at 1 p.m. June 20 in the Gracey Room, Merced County Library, 2100 O St. The meeting is open to the public.
Giants vs. A’s trip
Merced College Community Services is offering a bus trip to see the San Francisco Giants play the Oakland Athletics. The trip is from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 25. Atwater class reunion
The Atwater High School Class of 1975 will hold its 40th class reunion from 2 to 10 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Lake Yosemite Fish and Game building.
