Gospel concert at Merced Theatre

ICP Ball fundraiser for Owl Empire
The Owl Empire of Stanislaus County, a nonprofit that hosts several LGBT charity events per year, will host the ICP Ball 41 on Saturday. The fundraiser will have the theme of “Casino Royale: A Night of Gowns, Crowns and Royalty.” The event will take place at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, 645 W. Rummage sale space applications
Applications are being accepted for Valley Christian Center’s Community Rummage Sale. The sale is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the center’s parking lot at I and Seventh streets in Los Banos. Spaces can be rented for $20 and a refundable $15 cleanup deposit. Family health festival in Atwater
Castle Family Health Centers will be holding the eighth annual Summer Family Health Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 8 at 3605 Hospital Road in Atwater. The free event offers health screenings for vision, hearing, diabetes and blood pressure; breast exams; and dental for children. Sports physicals are $25 each. Scholarship fundraiser dinner in Hilmar
Livingston Community Health will host its third annual scholarship fundraiser dinner at 5 p.m. Aug. 13 at Hilmar Cheese Co., 9001 N. Lander Ave. in Hilmar. This year’s event will honor the 2015 scholarship recipients and feature a tri-tip dinner as well as a raffle and auction benefiting the scholarship program. Tickets are $35 apiece. The Merced Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group’s next meeting is 1 to 2 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Hoffmeister Center, 1920 Canal St. Tingling or numbness in toes, feet, fingers or hands could indicate peripheral neuropathy. Bill Kirby Western barbecue and auction
The Merced County Historical Society will host its 25th annual old-time Western barbecue in memory of Bill Kirby at Lake Yosemite on Sept. 8. The event will feature live and silent auctions for dinners, vacation getaways, antique items, gourmet food and artwork. Tickets cost $50 and are on sale in the Courthouse Museum gift shop.
