Gospel concert in Merced
Julie Eichelberger presents another Julie-N-Friends gospel music concert at 6 p.m. Sunday. This free event will take place at the Christian Life Center, 650 E. Olive Ave. in Merced. The guests for this fifth Sunday evening gospel sing include the Evidence Quartet of Yorba Linda, the Merced-based host group Bridge Of Grace and, coming out of retirement for a special appearance in Merced, the Johnson Family Singers. Story time at Barnes & Noble

Merced County Radio Control Club event

Cancer treatment workshop

Beers and Brats dinner
Merced Mayor Pro Tem Josh Pedrozo will host his annual Beers and Brats dinner 5:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Merced Fruit Barn, 4526 E. Highway 140 in Merced. All-you-can-eat sausages, Portuguese beans, rolls, salad and beverages will be served for $10 per person. Takeout orders available.
Dancing for birth classes

Youth behavior issues class
NAMI Basics is a six-week class for parents and caregivers of children whose behavior problems have become alarming. Basics is for families looking for help, education and support coping with their child’s problems. Basics begins 5:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at 480 E. 13th St. in Merced. Preregistration is required.
