Menudo at Club Mercedes

Club Mercedes, a nonprofit organization, serves menudo on the last Sunday of every month at 569 W. Ninth St. Serving time is from 8 a.m. until noon or until the menudo sells out. Prices are $4 for a baby bowl, $8 for a small bowl or $9 for a large bowl. Quesadillas are $1.50. The meal includes tortillas, condiments, coffee and pastries. Bloody mary specials are $5 each. Hot August Nights Bunco in Merced

The Wesley Foundation will host its Hot August Nights Bunco at 3 p.m. Sunday at Wesley Hall United Methodist Church, 899 Yosemite Parkway. The event supports the foundation, a Christian fellowship for college students. Admission is $10 and provides for fun and snacks. There will be prizes awarded for the top point earners as well as for the biggest loser, but no cash prizes. For tickets and more information, call 209-723-9007.

Storytime at Barnes & Noble Merced

Barnes & Noble will host a Storytime for Kids at 11 a.m. Sept. 5 at 1720 W. Olive Ave. Children can hear “The Full Moon at the Napping House,” by Audrey and Don Wood. The event is free. For more information, call 209-386-0571.

Microsoft Office 2013 classes

Atwater Classes of ’60s reunion

A big reunion for Atwater High School students who graduated from Classes of 1960-69 is set for 6 p.m. Sept. 12 at Atwater APC Hall, 1420 Third St. in Atwater. Delta Blues Festival Bus Trip

Annual Livingston Sweet Potato Festival

The city of Livingston will host its annual Sweet Potato Festival from Oct. 2-4 at the Max Foster Sports Complex, 2600 Walnut Ave. in Livingston. The Recreation Department is looking for vendors and volunteers. Discount Carnival Tickets are on sale at City Hall beginning Sept. 1. Merced Elks Golf Tournament

The Merced Elks Lodge will hold a charity golf tournament Oct. 17 at Rancho Del Rey Golf Course, 5250 Green Sands Ave. in Atwater. Check-in time is at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Lunch will be available at the end of the tournament. There will be raffle prizes, team prizes and closest-to-the-hole prizes.
