Fall into Autumn Event
Applegate Park Zoo will host its Fall into Autumn event every Saturday in October from noon to 2 p.m. The events will include games, crafts and stories planned to focus on this colorful time of year. For more information, call 209-385-6840.
Storytime at Barnes & Noble in Merced
Barnes & Noble will host a Storytime for Kids event at 11 a.m. Saturday at its Merced location, 1720 W. Olive Ave. Children can hear the story, “Pete the Cat & the Bedtime Blues.” The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 209-386-0571.
Reunion for Le Grand High Class of 1965

Merced Union High Class Reunion
The reunion date for the Classes of 1947, 1948 and 1949 has been rescheduled. The reunion will take place at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 13 at the Branding Iron Restaurant, 640 W. 16th St. Merced. Merced-Atwater Tea Party Meeting
The Merced-Atwater Tea Party regular monthly meeting will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Atwater Memorial Building, Fifth Street and Broadway Avenue, Atwater. The speaker for the evening will be Merced police Chief Norm Andrade. The group will also conduct its monthly straw poll for the presidential candidates. This event is open to the public.
UC Merced Courthouse Museum Exhibit
The Merced County Courthouse Museum will open the “UC Merced at 10: A Decade of Building, Developing and Contributing to Our Community” exhibit at 5 p.m. Oct. 15., at the museum, which is at 21st and N streets. NAUS Meeting in Atwater
The National Association for Uniformed Services, H. Wayne Hein Chapter 18, will meet at 10 a.m. Oct. 17 at the Castle Air Museum Banquet Room, 5050 Santa Fe Drive in Atwater. Merced Elks golf tournament
The Merced Elks Lodge will hold a charity golf tournament Oct. 17 at Rancho Del Rey Golf Course, 5250 Green Sands Ave. in Atwater. Check-in time is 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Lunch will be available at the end of the tournament. There will be raffle prizes, team prizes and closest-to-the-hole prizes.
