Tour Against Trafficking bike ride

The Tour Against Trafficking, a bike ride from Bakersfield to Modesto to raise awareness of, and funds to prevent, human trafficking, will stop at UC Merced between noon and 1 p.m. Thursday. The school’s Campus Advocacy Resources and Education Office will screen “The Trafficked Life” at 2 p.m. the same day inside the library, where the filmmaker will also speak. Lions in Sight event in Livingston

The Lions White Cane Road Block to collect money for Lions in Sight will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 24 at Main and F streets in Livingston. The project is an International Lions Project that recycles eyeglasses, has eliminated river blindness, and is working on all other causes of blindness around the world. Summit Christian School golf tournament

Buhach Colony drive-though pasta dinner

Pumpkin party for kids in Merced

Sign up your little ghosts or goblins for the city of Merced’s annual Tiny Tots Pumpkin Party. The Pumpkin Party is a time for kids ages 3 to 6 to decorate a pumpkin and partake in other Halloween fun. Costumes and parents are welcome. The party starts at 5:15 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Sam Pipes Room in Merced Civic Center, 678 W. 18th St. The cost is $5 a child. Space is limited, so preregistration is required. AARP Merced’s Fraud Prevention Town Hall

AARP Merced and Adam Gray are hosting a Fraud Prevention Town Hall from 9 to 11 a.m Oct. 28 at Merced Senior Community Center, 755 W. 15th St. The CSLEA Consumer Protection and Public Safety Foundation has teamed up with the State Bar of California and state legislators in an effort to arm citizens with tools needed to fight identity theft and consumer fraud. After the meeting, a lunch of barbecued ribs will be served for $5. The meeting is open to the public.

2015 Aggie Fest in Merced

The 2015 Aggie Fest sponsored by the Merced College Agriculture Division and Yosemite Farm Credit returns to the Merced County Fairgrounds from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 14. More than 200 brands of beer and platters of sausages and cheese will be featured, along with silent and live auctions. Tickets are $40 in advance, and the organizers offer a deal for tickets bought in packages.
