Merced SPCA Luncheon

Merced SPCA will hold its Enchilada/ Tostada Luncheon from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Los Panchos Mexican restuarant, 2971 G St. Tickets are $15; raffle tickets are $1. For more information, call (209) 384-7722.

Bazaar and Brunch

Le Grand United Methodist Bazaar and Brunch is from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Baxter Hall and the Meditation Garden, 13065 Adams Street in Le Grand. A buffet-style brunch will be served from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Tickets are $5. Children age 10 and under eat free. Tickets for a prize drawing are $1 each or six for $5. All proceeds go to the new roof and repair of the bell tower on the historic 132-old-church.

Financial help for women

Women who are the primary wage earners for their families and seek financial assistance to continue their higher education or receive training can apply for the Soroptimist Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women. Contact Geri Brown at (209) 723-2990 or justnow@comcast.net for application. Deadline to apply is today. The Merced club has up to $3,000 to grant recipients, who will then advance to the Soroptimist Sierra Pacific Region level, where the award is up to $5,000. The program culminates with three finalists, and awards up to $10,000.

Fitness Fall Bazaar

A Fall Bazaar iat from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Ava Fitness, 1505 E. Robertson Ave., Chowchilla. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Hunting and FishingCollectible Show

The Hunting and Fishing Collectible Show is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at The Sportsmen’s Club, 13989 Mercey Springs Road in Los Banos. The event includes wildlife/sporting art, antique duck decoys, rods, reels, tackle, lures, and vintage hunting, fishing and related items. Admission $5, kids age 12 and under are free. Menudo at Club Mercedes

Club Mercedes serves Menudo from 8 a.m. until noon (or until we sell out) every Sunday at 569 W. 9th St. in Merced. $7 for a small bowl or $8 for a large bowl. VFW steak fundraiser

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9946’s steak dinner fundraiser is from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at 1390 Broadway. Dinner includes steak cooked to order, baked potato and roll. Cost is $10 in advance, $12 at the door. For more information, call (209) 358-7224.

A Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, 500 Buena Vista Drive in Merced. The event will include vendors, food booths and prizes.

Grief share group
