Merced Cancer Center support group
Support Groups will be held every first Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. People tend to feel more comfortable and less isolated sharing their experiences and getting their feelings out in the open with others who have experienced similar situations. Annual Pedrozo Dinner in El Nido
Supervisor John Pedrozo will host his annual Portuguese beans and linguica dinner at 5 p.m. Wednesday, at El Nido Community Hall, Highway 59 in El Nido. All-you-can-eat linguica, Portuguese beans, rolls, salad and beverages will be served for $25 per person; takeout is available.
Storytime at Barnes & Noble Merced
Barnes & Noble will host a Storytime for Kids event at 11 a.m. Saturday at its Merced location, 1720 W. Olive Ave. Children can hear the story “Click, Clack, Boo!” by Coreen Cronin. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 209-386-0571.
Buhach Colony drive-thru dinner
The Buhach Colony Music Boosters is having a pasta drive-thru pasta dinner from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Buhach Colony High School. Dinner will include pasta, salad and a roll. Tiny Tots Pumpkin Party in Merced
The city of Merced is inviting families to the annual Tiny Tots Pumpkin Party that will take place Oct. 28. The event is a time for children between ages 3 and 6 to decorate a pumpkin and partake in other Halloween fun. Costumes are welcome. The party starts at 5:15 p.m. at Merced Civic Center, 678 W. 18th St. The cost is $5 per child. Space is limited so preregistration is required. To register, call 209-385-6298.
Take-out rigatoni dinners
The Merced Breakfast Lions Club annual rigatoni take-out dinners will be available between 4 and 6 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the Italo-American Lodge Italo, 1351 W. 18th St. in Merced. Salute to Veterans
Veterans are invited to OLM School’s 10th annual Salute to Veterans at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 10. Students are honored to welcome veterans to thank them for their sacrifice and service to our nation. The school is at 1400 E. 27th St. Parking is available on 27th Street and behind the school just east of Glen Avenue off Santa Fe Avenue.
2015 Aggie Fest in Merced
The 2015 Aggie Fest sponsored by the Merced College Agriculture Division and Yosemite Farm Credit returns to the Merced County Fairgrounds from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 14. More than 200 brands of beer and platters of sausages and cheese will be featured, along with silent and live auctions. Tickets are $40 each in advance, and the organizers plan deals for tickets bought in packages. Holiday Bazaar and Brunch
The 28th annual Holiday Bazaar and Brunch of Le Grand United Methodist Church is 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 14 at Jerd Baxter Hall, 13065 Adams St., Le Grand. The Hall is directly behind the Methodist Church. The cost of the Brunch s $6. Items will be available for purchase from The Bake Shop, The Kitchen Shop, The Stitchery and Craft Shop, The Specialty Shop and The Garden Shop.
