Merced firefighters Fill-the-Boot fundraiser
Merced City Firefighters Local 1479 will Fill-the-Boot to raise funds for the Central California Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Olive and G streets. Funds raised through Fill-the-Boot will provide the following MDA services to local families: support groups, medical clinics, medical equipment and the annual Youth Summer Camp that is 100 percent wheelchair accessible – even the swimming pool.
Pumpkin Party for kids
The city of Merced invites families to its annual Tiny Tots Pumpkin Party on Wednesday. The event is a time for children ages 3 to 6 to decorate a pumpkin and partake in other Halloween fun. Costumes are welcome. The party starts at 5:15 p.m. at Merced Civic Center, 678 W. 18th St. The cost is $5 per child. Space is limited, so preregistration is required. To register, call 209-385-6298.
World Dance classes
Merced College Community Services will be offering World Dance classes beginning Nov. 4 from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesdays through Dec. 16. The cost is $40 per participant. For more information, call 209-384-6224 or email communitysvc@mccd.edu.
Neuropathy Support Group
The Merced Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group’s next meeting is 1 to 2 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Hoffmeister Center, 1920 Canal St. in Merced. If your toes/fingers and or feet/hands tingle or feel numb, you might have peripheral neuropathy. You are not alone. Round table discussion and informative handouts available. Enchilada fundraiser in Le Grand
American Legion will be making enchiladas beginning at 8 a.m. Nov. 14 at the American Legion Hall, 12560 Le Grand Road in Le Grand. The event is a fundraiser for scholarships for Le Grand and Planada high school students. For more information, call 209-917-0306 or 209-389-4654.
Holiday Bazaar and Brunch in Le Grand
The 28th annual Holiday Bazaar and Brunch of Le Grand United Methodist Church is 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 14 at Jerd Baxter Hall, 13065 Adams St., Le Grand. The Hall is directly behind the Methodist Church. The cost of the brunch is $6. Items will be available for purchase from The Bake Shop, The Kitchen Shop, The Stitchery and Craft Shop, The Specialty Shop and The Garden Shop. Drive-thru Pasta Dinner
The Buhach Colony Music Boosters is having a Drive-Thru Pasta Dinner from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 21 at Buhach Colony High School. Dinner will include pasta, salad and a roll. Tickets are $10 for an adult and $8 for a senior or child. For more information or to buy tickets, call 209-947-1133.
