‘Joy’ musical celebration
The Christian Life Center presents “Joy,” a musical celebration of the birth of Jesus, featuring the CLC Christmas Choir along with a drama cast and dance crew of more than 50 members. Hispanic Chamber installation awards
The Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s installation and awards dinner is set for 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Gateway Gardens, 800 W. 18th St. Tickets for MCHCC members are $40, or a table of eight for $300; nonmembers $45, or table of eight for $340. Kidz Bop in Merced
Kidz Bop is coming to Merced on Friday for a special stop on their Make Some Noise holiday tour. The Kidz Bop Kids will perform holiday classics in addition to favorites from the best-selling Kidz Bop series. Tickets are now on sale for the Merced Theatre show. Bake sale benefiting animals
New Beginnings for Animals is having a bake sale on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Christina’s Fine Clothing in the Bear Creek Galleria, at Bear Creek Drive and G Street. Baked items perfect for your family, friends, neighbors, teachers and co-workers will be available as well as gift baskets and opportunity drawings. All proceeds go to benefit Merced County animals. Winter Wonderland
The Boys and Girls Club of Merced County presents Winter Wonderland, an indoor carnival-style event, on Saturday. The event will include activities such as gingerbread cookie decorating, holiday crafts, face painting and photos with Santa. Activities will start at 3 p.m. at 615 W. 15th St. Cost is $1 per person.
