Kidz Bop in Merced
Kidz Bop is coming to Merced on Friday for a special stop on its Make Some Noise Holiday Tour. The Kidz Bop Kids will perform holiday classics in addition to favorites from the best-selling Kidz Bop series. Tickets are now on sale for the Merced Theatre Show. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show will start at 7 p.m. To purchase tickets, visit tickets.mercedtheatre.org.
AARP Merced’s monthly meeting
The AARP Merced monthly meeting will be Dec. 16 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at Merced Senior Community Center, 755 W. 15th St. The Fire Department will talk about the home fire alarm program. After the meeting, lunch will be served for $5 and desserts will be provided by members. The meeting is open to the public.
Christmas meeting for Merced Republican Women
The Merced County Republican Women’s next meeting will be special. The Classic Christmas Carolers to perform for the group. They will have costumes of the “old-fashioned carolers” and stroll around the tables performing. The meeting is set for 11:30 a.m. Dec. 21, and lunch is served at noon at the Branding Iron in Merced. Christmas Eve celebration
Join ISMA Ministries Inc. in celebrating Jesus this Christmas season. Refreshments are provided. This event is free and open to the public and runs from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 24 at McCombs Youth Center 615 W. 15th St. in Merced. For more information, call 209-725-1761.
Become an advocate for children
Court Appointed Special Advocates of Merced County will begin a new volunteer advocate training class Jan. 20. An Orientation is scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 29. CASA is a nonprofit organization that trains volunteers to provide support and advocacy for the abused and neglected children in the Merced County Foster Care System. Rose-pruning workshop
The Atwater Garden Club will offer a free rose-pruning workshop Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. at Bloss Memorial Rose Garden on Cedar Ave. For more information, call 209-357-9422.
