Tea party
The Merced-Atwater Tea Party regular monthly meeting will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Atwater Memorial Building, Fifth Street and Broadway, Atwater. The group will be hosting Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke, who will give his thoughts about his first weeks as new sheriff and some of his ideas and plans. Everyone is invited to attend and participate.
Mental illness
National Alliance on Mental Illness Merced County is offering “Family-to-Family,” a 12-week class for people who care for or about someone with a serious mental illness. Family members and friends learn about the brain, what happens when mental illness strikes, getting care for their loved one and support for themselves, medications, communicating and many other aspects that will help them get through this traumatic situation. One class is offered in English and the other in Spanish. The classes begin at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 15. Crab feed
The Buhach High School Music Boosters is having its 10th Annual Crab Feast on Jan. 31 at the Merced County Fairgrounds Pavilion Building. Social hour is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Auction is 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Dancing 9 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $45 per person or $320 for a table of eight. For more information, call Kevin at (209) 606-9544.
Church revival
Atwater Christian Life Center is scheduled to have a revival 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday. Scheduled guest speaker is Duane Brookshier of Truth Tabernacle from Hemet. For more information, call (209) 358-1988.
Matt Maher
St. Patrick’s Faith Event Ministry presents five-time Grammy-nominated Christian artist Matt Maher in concert at the Merced Theatre on June 18. Tickets go on sale Jan. 20. Camera club

Mental health
The monthly meeting of the Merced County Mental Health Board will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at 1137 B St. The meeting will include an update on the blending of boards and the quarterly Mental Health Board financial report.
