Town hall meeting
The Merced City Council plans a town-hall-style meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at Tenaya Middle School, 760 W. Eighth St. The meetings are generally two hours and include presentations and public comment. For more information, go to www.cityofmerced.org or call 209-385-6834.
AARP meeting

Supervisor’s mobile office
Merced County District 3 Supervisor Daron McDaniel has scheduled monthly mobile office hours from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at Atwater City Hall, 750 Bellevue Road. LB chamber mixer
The Los Banos Chamber of Commerce’s February mixer is with Habitat for Humanity Westside Merced County from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at its new ReStore, 1209 Sixth St. in Los Banos. Homeless Summit

Merced College medallion
The fourth annual State of the College Address and Presentation of the President’s Medallion, sponsored by the Merced College Foundation, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 22 in the college’s IAC amphitheater. Individual tickets to the catered lunch are $50, table sponsorships for eight guests are $500, and corporate sponsorships are $1,000 for a table of eight. Look Good Feel Better
Look Good Feel Better is a free, two-hour workshop for women cancer patients experiencing appearance-related side effects from their treatment to be held on the second Monday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mercy UC Davis Cancer Center, 3850 G St. in Merced. Genealogical Society Meeting
Stephen Morse, computer inventor, professor, author and researcher will present a case study using the One-Step Webpages and other websites to develop a family history. The presentation will show how to obtain records in spite of name misspellings, and how to avoid accepting wrong information. Join the Merced County Genealogical Society in the Gracey Room at the Merced County Library, 2100 O St. at 1 p.m., Feb. 27. The meeting is open to all; no membership is required.
