La Grange Rodeo

The La Grange Rodeo events start at 8 a.m. April 3 at the La Grange Rodeo Arena, 30433 Yosemite Blvd. Tickets are $15 at the gate, $10 for kids 6-12; kids 5 and under are free. Neuropathy support

The Merced Peripheral Neuropathy Support Group’s next meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. April 14 at the Hoffmeister Center, 1920 Canal St. in Merced. Plant giveaway

A free plant “Give & Take” is 9 a.m.-noon April 9 at St. Patrick’s Church parking lot, 671 E. Yosemite Ave. Hosted by the Merced Colony Grange and St. Patrick’s Church, master gardeners will be available to answer questions. There is no cost. For more, call 209-383-3808.

Native Daughters meet

Veritas Parlor #75 of Merced and Mariposa #63 of the Native Daughters of the Golden West will hold a joint official visit of Grand President Bonnie Tabor, of Morada Parlor #199 in Modesto. MAGA golf tourney

The Merced MAGA Golf Tournament registration is required by April 10 for the 9 a.m. April 17 tourney at Atwater’s Rancho Del Rey Golf Course, 5250 Green Sands Ave. Entries should be sent to Merced MAGA P.O. Mature driver class

Merced College’s noncredit program offers a Mature Driver Improvement class 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. April 6, Atwater Community Center, 760 Bellevue Road. Many insurance companies offer discounts to drivers 55 and older who complete a course.

Easter at the zoo

Applegate’s Easter Extravaganza will include an egg-coloring station, Easter egg scavenger hunt, spring crafts, games, a bounce house and an opportunity to pet bunnies from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Applegate Park Zoo, 1045 W. 25th St. For more, call the city’s Parks and Recreation office at 209-385-6298 or email johnsonl@cityofmerced.org.

Plant sale

Merced College will hold its annual plant sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the college greenhouses, 3600 M St. There will be tomatoes, peppers, vegetables, herbs, perennials, succulents, fruit and shade trees, among other plants. For more, call Elaine Valladao at 209-631-2026.
